Bars in Harrogate
|| When it comes to
bars in Harrogate there’s plenty to appeal to both
the “up for it” clubber and those who simply
want to sit back, relax and socialise after a busy day.
Edwards [map] is one of those very bright and modern
venues. Located at Parliament Street, this is
a great place to begin your night of decadence.
With alcohol offers on every evening and a vibrant atmosphere
you’re sure to feel right at home. You could try
a shooter or two to get you in the mood.
If you consider yourself to be one of the cool kids make
a pit stop at one of the best venues in Harrogate, Revolution [map]. This ultra-modern and stunning bar offers
a perfect combination of laid-back daytime schmoozing
and then an evening of hedonistic partying. With those
squashy sofas that you can curl up and get lost in, food
to die for and a great DJ playing into the night, you’ll
find everything you could want at Revolution, Royal Baths.
For a traditional evening out that still manages to retain
the classy element that seems to be present in all of
Harrogate’s bars, head to Crabtrees [map], Cambridge
Road. This place offers dining and drinking
and general lazing around as well as those essential pool
tables for when you need a bit of exercise. The perfect
place to chill.
Those looking for something a bit different should head
to the bizarrely wonderful Blues Bar [map] at Montpellier
Parade. Where else can you find an Egyptian
restaurant andb a live Blues and Blue Grass music venue
in the same room. Here, that’s where. So prepare
to dine in style and then sit back and enjoy some truly magical music.
Another unusual venue is Yorkshire Lass [map]. Located in Knaresborough this is a really different
kind of live music bar, and don’t be fooled by the
title, you’ll not have to endure constant renditions
of “On Ilkley Moor Ba Tat” as most of the
music has an Irish or Scottish flavour to it.
With it’s beautiful green exterior, complete with
al fresco seating for summer dining, Yorkshire Lass, is
a great place to round off a visit to the beautiful town
