Sandwich Bars in Durham

all day using freshly prepared ingredients.
Another favourite with shoppers, workers and students
is O’Brien’s Irish Sandwich Bar [map],
which is part of a national chain and is situated on Elvet
Bridge. The menu includes a range of tasty sandwiches,
such as the Chicken and Bacon Tripledecker and Turkey
and Berry Chutney, along with great soups, Irish stew,
and scrumptious bagels.
Finally, for a little culture with your ciabatta why not
head to the Gala Café [map], which is part of
the Gala Theatre complex on Millennium Place.
Here you can sit back, relax and enjoy all the usual lunchtime
cuisine, such as sandwiches, soup and cakes, along with
a teaming hot cappuccino.
