GO Self-Catering in Brighton

Self-Catering in Brighton When you’re on holiday you don’t want to be bound by schedules, so why not check into self-catering accommodation and have everything your own way.

There are a number of holiday cottages and luxury apartments in and around Brighton, many with wonderful sea or country views.

For a start there’s the Brighton Lanes [map] apartments located in The Lanes area of town and set in a Georgian townhouse and two adjoining 16th century cottages. Situated in the perfect location for exploring the maze of alleyways and tiny streets in The Lanes, these apartments are tastefully decorated and fully furnished.

If you want to stay in accommodation that is deemed to have the best views of Brighton’s glorious seafront, then take a look at Metropole Court [map]. Located above the four star Hilton Metropole Hotel in the city centre, each apartment has panoramic views, is well equipped and sleeps up to four people.

Guests here can make use of the pool and leisure facilities of the Metropole, while all of Brighton's many attractions are within easy reach, with both shopping areas and restaurants almost on the doorstep.

Also in central Brighton you’ll find the little oasis of Crown Gardens [map], where you can rent one of two charming two-bedroom Regency terraced cottages. Situated close to the Clock Tower and only a few minutes walk from Brighton train station in the historic Westhill conservation area, access to these cottages is through an ivy clad gate from one of Brighton's old streets. Both homes are tastefully decorated and fully equipped with working fireplace. They sleep between four and six people.

If you would prefer to stay in nearby Hove, which is officially part of the city of Brighton, then you can’t go far wrong in the Beach View apartment [map]. In an outstanding position on the promenade, the lounge has magnificent sea views making it an ideal base for those who want a relaxing holiday. There is a leisure centre close by with a swimming pool, gym and ten-pin bowling alleys. Alternatively you can take a stroll along the seafront to Brighton, and meander through its famous Lanes or visit the Royal Pavilion.

Also in Hove is Plovers Lodge [map], an attractive, spacious house set in a quiet area that is ideally situated within easy reach of lovely countryside or bustling Brighton. The house is fully furnished and there is an excellent bus service direct to Brighton city centre.

Three miles from central Brighton in a quiet residential lane overlooking a village church, you’ll find Honeysuckle Cottage [map], an attractive 18th century end terraced.
